Medium Biohazard Containers

These containers are yellow with the
red biohazard symbol on them. They have plastic handles and are
available with four different types of lid:
1) snap-on lids
2) gasket snap-on lids
3) 7.62 cm (3 inch) plug lids or
4) 12.7 cm (5 inch) plug lids
1. The plain snap-on lid has no opening in it and no gasket. This
lid is used when there is little or no fluid being placed in the container.

The gasket snap-on lid is the same as the snap-on lid except
that it has a gasket that seals the lid when fluid is placed in the
container.

The 7.62 cm (3 inch) plug lid
is also a snap-on lid, but it has a 7.62 cm (3 inch ) red plug with a tab on
it inserted in the middle of the lid. The 7.62 cm (3 inch) plug can be
removed by pulling on the tab. This allows the user to insert objects up to
7.62 cm (3 inch) in diameter into the container without removing the lid.

The 12.7 cm (5 inch) plug lid
is also a snap lid, but it has a 12.7 cm (5 inch) red plug with a tab on it
inserted in the middle of the lid. The 12.7 cm (5 inch) plug can be removed
by pulling on the tab. This allows the user to insert objects up to 12.7 cm
(5 inches) in diameter into the container without removing the lid.
The lids for these containers are all white and the plugs are orange or
red.
The red half-moon flip top lid is not available for these containers.
